Scripture and a Snapshot

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

I drove to my parents house Monday morning after a storm, and this tree blocked my path. I moved the eight foot section that was on the end, but the big part just wouldn't budge, and there was no way to cross it. I carefully maneuvered my van between their azelea bushes and drove through the yard to their house. Once I parked, I just laughed. There are things in life that happen that we have absolutely no control over, that we can't singlehandedly do anything about. I am so thankful to friends who have been praying for our family. I may not be able to do anything, but I have faith in God no matter the circumstances.

There is a song by Chris Tomlin that echoes the truth of this verse though it is actually based on other verses. If you haven't heard it copy this link and listen: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qOkImV2cJDg

"My strength is in Your name, for You alone can save...Whom shall I fear? I know who goes before me, I know who stands behind. The God of angel armies is always by my side."

  2. Love the shadow of the trees. I'm glad that you were able to get to your parent's house safely. Thank you for hosting this :) I used to be part of this years ago (hosted on another blog) and I'm glad I found it again.
