Scripture and A Snapshot

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8

My daughter came in our room because she heard the crash, and then she went outside with my husband to investigate. This huge tree limb fell and pulled more down with it. It missed our house, even missed the treehouse, but because it landed on the zip line it had to be moved. So at midnight, illuminated by the beam of a flashlight, my husband cut it the rest of the way down. Later my daughter shared with me, somewhat surprised, “it wasn’t dead, mamma, it was covered with leaves.

  2. Love your daughter's observation for the tree limb; goes with your scripture. The tree limb had to fall but symbolizes that we would be covered.

  5. Glad it didn't do more damage! That verse was my son's choice for his graduation verse. At the time I thought it a strange choice, but I think it reflected his choice to be God's man.
