Daphne and Velma

The following is a promotional post for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Jinkies! Your favorite mystery solving teenagers are back in an all-new, live-action feature length movie!

Synopsis:

Ridge Valley High is an innovative center of learning for some of the brightest minds in the nation, including both Daphne Blake (Jeffery) and Velma Dinkley (Gilman). Together, the best friends discover a number of questionable disappearances on campus as kids who were once full of life appear to become “zombified.” The mystery brings Daphne and Velma together to see if they can solve the case.

Check out the trailer link below:
Our only complaint is that it doesn’t include Scooby Doo. He did not even have a cameo appearance in this spin-off. It is actually designed as a prequel which takes place before any of the Scooby Doo adventures. My daughter noticed that in one part, the silhouettes of the two main characters look like their familiar cartoon versions.

We had the opportunity to join in a teleconference with Sarah Gilman, who plays Velma in the all new live action Warner Bros. Home Entertainment film Daphne and Velma. Sarah shared that she, like me, grew up watching the original Scooby Doo cartoons. Her favorite characters were Velma and Shaggy who seemed to solve most of the mysteries.

About Daphne and Velma

State of the art robots and high-tech gadgets are common sights at Ridge Valley High, an innovative center of learning for some of the brightest minds in the country, including new transfer student, the bright & optimistic Daphne Blake (Sarah Jeffery) who is excited to finally go to school with her online bestie, the whip-smart & analytical Velma Dinkley (Sarah Gilman). But not everything is as innocent as it seems as mysterious disappearances begin to plague the top-performing students on campus. Once cheery and full of life, kids now appear in a “zombiefied” state - lifeless and shells of themselves. Can Daphne and Velma learn to work together and save the students or will they become the next victims? Get ready for thrills and laughs as we follow the first adventures of Mystery Inc.’s fierce female duo.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment just released Daphne & Velma on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD on May 22, 2018. Daphne & Velma will carry a suggested retail price of $19.98 for the DVD and $24.98 for the Blu-ray.
