Altar Egos DVD

The following is a promotional review and giveaway post for the inspirational movie Altar Egos from Bridgestone Media Group.

If you need to laugh a lot, watch this movie. It is funny, but it uses humor to illustrate some all to common sad truths. Suggestions of simple things such as paint color (I've heard of disagreements over carpet color) can contribute to church splits if the root causes are not addressed. This comedy portrays one pastor's unique method of relating to his church.

Our family enjoyed watching it; laughter was needed. My son was the first to notice one of the actors from another family favorite--Moms Night Out. "He killed Mama." My son had all positive things to say about this movie: "It was hilarious. Good plot. Good resolution. He didn't give up."

Desperate to see their church grow, Pastor John (Robert Amaya, MOM’S NIGHT OUT, COURAGEOUS) and wife Betsy (Erin Bethea, FIREPROOF) do the unthinkable and change their church Christmas pageant. Flabbergasted, elderly choir director Mary Margaret (Sallie Wanchisn) leads the choir to boycott. Facing termination, Pastor John resorts to disguising himself as an old man to bridge the generation gap, win over Mary, and lead the choir back to the church. When he discovers that the wounds run deeper than he first suspected, Pastor John must learn to love the unlovable or risk the ruin of his church and family. Also stars Victoria Jackson (SNL).
