Scripture and a Snapshot

Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise. Proverbs 19:20

For the past few months, I've been enjoying a feature on Facebook that reminds me of things I shared on this same day through the years. It's fun to look back, especially at special vacation memories and pictures of my kids. I was reminded that on March 4 three years ago we spent the day in Baton Rouge at the zoo, visiting with a friend, then rushing through this travel exhibit before the museum closed for the day. One huge difference is my son's height. Three years ago his big sister was nearly a foot taller than him. Now, he is taller than both girls. I've been talking to him about wisdom, specifically how Jesus grew in wisdom and stature. May we all grow more wise like Jesus.

  1. Jennifer, I love that FB feature. Sometimes it makes me laugh and sometimes ... I cry. It is amazing to see how much our children have grown. And yes, I want to grow in the wisdom of our God as well. Have a blessed Sunday!

  2. I love this image and how you are talking about growth of the heart as well as the body with your son! This is so important for kids to realize...growth can be on the inside too!

  3. Time is zooming by! Our kids, and now our grandkids, childhoods fly by. Thank God for the hope of eternal life, as the speed this one goes by can be disheartening!

  5. That's a fun feature on FB. I love to see how my kids have grown, but often it does seem like it's going by too fast!

  6. Yes, it is wonderful to notice the growth ... One day takes the other - bit by bit, inch by inch!
