New Life

The Child continued to grow and become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.  Luke 2:40

Isn't she beautiful? My precious niece just had a baby girl, and my family has loved taking turns holding both her and her big brother. She has an IV, a needle in her tiny arm, and it made me wonder once again at the miracle of our Savior's birth not only without modern medicine but even without the typical birthing plan of his day. Born in a stable, but not deprived. The grace of God was upon him!

  1. Congratulations on your beautiful niece! Isn't it amazing to think of the vulnerability of God in the flesh, a tiny infant!

  2. Your scripture follows along with my Advent devotions this morning. I was pondering how God sent his son in the form of a baby. Did he know from birth he was Jesus or did God immerse himself into the child as he grew....so many things to ponder, but no matter how it occurred, it is awesome that it did.

Nothing better than a new littlekins to hold and just cuddle. Congratulations to your niece and all the family. :)

    Thanks for visiting and linking.

  3. Hi Jennifer,
I joined you today with scripture and a Bible Journalling picture. I hope that is okay. I have been dabbling in Bible Journalling this year. For December I am advocating against #HumanTrafficking by wearing a dress every day for #DressforDunamis.
    Merry Christmas and Blessings,
