Jesus said to the followers, “Go everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News to everyone. Mark 16:15
We were privileged to spend the past week with the youth of our church including all three of our own kids at Go Tell camp. If you follow my Instagram feed you can see a few of the highlights. It was an amazing week. I don't brag on my husband enough. He was one of our bus drivers, and I'm so thankful for his endurance. So much was covered this week; I'll be studying my notes for a while. The emphasis at the end of the week was on sharing about Jesus. Do you know Him? Do you know that He knew you before you were born? Do you know He loves you so much He died for you? But He's not dead any more! He rose from the dead and has given us the most precious gift of eternal life with Him if we believe in Him. That's the Good News! Turning away from sin, confessing, repenting, and choosing to live for Him means a changed life. We were challenged this week to go tell. On our way home, the rental van broke down. Half of us ended up staying in a hotel, and I watched our youth boldly go tell everyone they saw in the hotel lobby about Jesus until we went to our rooms to bed. They walked up to strangers and shared the love of Jesus, and I was reminded of the verses about childlike faith. One person said no. But others listened. One man told them he was a preacher. One mom walking in with her two daughters had her Bible in her hand. Jesus' parable about seeds was shared this week. God softens hearts. But He asks us to share. More seeds have been planted. I'm praying that they grow.

Serving at youth camp is exhausting and exhilarating all in one! How encouraging to see lives transformed for Jesus, though!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your youth was able to "go tell" to people at the hotel!
ReplyDeleteHow neat that they got a chance to put what they'd learned into action so quickly - and that they were faithful to do it! Praying that those seeds do bear fruit.
ReplyDeleteThe moments shared in the summer camps bear fruit... friendships are made, seed is sown, and God speaks and forms and changes lives!
