"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Are you enjoying the challenge? I hope so! Today Lynn and I are asking you to share a favorite quote with us. When I find a quote I like or can relate to, I used to write it down. Now I'm more likely to take a quick screen shot of it. In the past, I joined a blog link sharing pictures of the first day of the month which become some of my favorite posts to look back on, so in this post I'll share my first day of July pictures with quotes.
Right now we have an abundance of fresh blueberries. My daughter's first request was blueberry muffins. Next was blueberry bars. We tried this Blueberry Lemon Crumb Bars recipe for the first time, and it was a hit.
"It is the sweet simple things of life which are the real ones after all." Laura Ingalls Wilder
For the past week my son and I have been studying God's Word together using this book from a friend.
"In the morning when I rise...give me Jesus...you may have all this world, just give me Jesus." (hymn)
For my Virtual Refrigerator post today I'm sharing a picture from my daughter's lovely viewpoint, not of a sunset seen while she painted, but just from her thoughts.
It brings me so much joy to hear my children practicing. My son played me a melody this morning moving from song to song in his binder. I've got peace like a river is one of the ones he is learning. Do you have that peace?
"Lord, in times of old
My heart had known
With quiet words of your tender love
And your gentle touch
That changes me
Even through the storm,
I'm safe and I'm warm
Lord, You have comforted me
With grace in Your hiding place
I am at peace
Peace comes like the dawn
Peace that the world
Can't understand
You take my hand and I stand
The waters may fall...
The peace that passes understanding
Is a blessing that will never fade away
The peace that passes understanding
Is here to stay
The peace that passes understanding
Never passes away." Wayne Watson
Has it been raining at your house? I can't remember the last day it didn't rain here. The Schoolhouse Review Crew has been suggesting a daily photo prompt on Instagram. Monday's word was weather. Join us! (Tuesday's prompt there is noon.) I'm Mommiejennm on Instagram and on Twitter.
My Cuts By Laser project Monday was trying out some of our favorite wooden Christmas ornaments in acrylic. I'm excited at how the prototypes are turning out.

“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.” Vivian Greene
Today I have two linkys for you; join either or both of them. Our art prompts for July are red and Independence Day, but you can link any art and craft posts even if, like mine, they don't exactly fit the theme.

ReplyDelete:) We've run through a lot of raindrops lately. If I had a different attitude about it, it could be depressing.
