The thunder rolled in the distance, the raindrops played their sleep inducing lullaby on our tin roof, and then the electricity went out around noon. My husband had been repairing the water line to our fridge. My son built a fort in the living room with red, white, and blue blankets, and the girls and I were all reading. Once the lights went out we settled into family time. My son requested the game of Life. I'm still contemplating whether a game each day would be equally as beneficial as his daily math practice; I know he enjoys games. Our evening grilling plans continued minus the homemade rolls and pie that weren't able to be baked without electricity. Even though our day didn't go as originally planned, it was still a relaxing comfortable family day at home. Home sweet home.

As content as we were, I imagine how heaven will be. So "much more than we can hope or imagine." Beyond imagination!

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
