So for today: 10 things I like about me! This prompt is a challenge for me. I'm not a list maker, and I'd rather tell you about my kids or my dear husband. But I'm going to list ten things now, in no particular order. I love to read. I have precious memories of reading with my Grandmother. My Granny, who I remember with a smile on her face, didn't critique my moves and taught me to have fun dancing and listening to music. My husband has taught me about what things matter and what things simply do not need to be worried about. I appreciate his lighthearted responses but haven't completely accomplished that skill in my own words yet. I like to cook and can find satisfaction in a clean room once done, but I don't particularily like cleaning. I like being a mom. Motherhood changed me in ways no parenting class or book ever made me realize. I love my children and have fun watching them grow and each develop their own interests and talents. I like stability, constancy, dependability. I'm happy that we are finally feeling at home in a church again. I'm more optimistic than pessimistic, and I like that. I'd rather be sharing my sermon notes from tonight than all of this. The pastor that spoke to us shared simple yet profound truths. God's mercies are new every morning, and I'm so incredibly thankful for that. I'm a sinner saved by grace, and the comfort and peace from Jesus Christ my Savior makes life worth living.
So...tell me more about yourself.
Jennifer
