Season 2 of When Calls The Heart is Almost Here!

The following is a sponsored post and GIVEAWAY provided by Word Films.

We just got a sneak peek of season 2, and you won't want to miss it.

Are you familiar with the Hallmark original series, When Calls The Heart? If not, here’s a quick trailer…..

My girls and I have enjoyed watching each episode together, and they were excited about this opportunity. The movie length premier captured our attention as we watched Elizabeth Thatcher, Jack Thornton, and old and new characters kick off season 2. It premiers on the Hallmark Channel Saturday, April 25th.

The plot is engaging, and I won't share spoilers, so I'll focus instead on a few highlights of the show. Did you know there were motorcycles way back then? That even got my son's attention. Those of you familiar with Coal Valley will appreciate the changes there, too.  This series doesn't follow the book series as closely, but does have similarities.

The series launched last year and experienced an incredible response from viewers. The fan-base organically grew and started calling themselves #Hearties on social media. Today, they are a force of over 22 thousand!

About the series:
The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal mining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman’s career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a turn of the century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.

  2. I watched it live last season and my kids fell in love with it. They begged to gather around each week and watch what would happen next. I think the time that Elizabeth got kidnapped might have been my favorite. They were all so good it is really hard to chose a favorite!
