In my life this week…
Whew! This week was full! Monday was the only day that we stayed home all day. My oldest daughter, the night after she shot a deer, shared that she was now ready for hunting season to be over so we can safely walk in the woods again. I agree, with the weather we have been enjoying it will be fun to spend more time outside. My other teenage daughter surprised me with a comment about making mud pies. I think I surprised her when I told her to go make some. She did, and my son joined in the fun.
In our homeschool this week…
Our Countries and Cultures studies is still in Brazil, though we haven't yet made a batch of brigadeiros. Maybe we will do that this week when there will be less "car schooling." We did try a few new things from Queen's, Little Passports, and Artistic Pursuits. I'm excited to have a plan set up that the kids will enjoy while I'm travelling.
My favorite thing this week was…
...the time that our whole family spent together outside today.

I’m cooking...
We finally made a batch of homemade dishwasher detergent. My husband actually found the Lemishine for the recipe over a week ago, but I didn't make time to mix it until an allergy attack Monday. For some reason I grabbed a l laundry tab and threw it in the washing machine instead of using my homemade laundry soap. After that I spent the rest of the morning sneezing. It was either caused by the laundry soap or from dust stirred up because our windows were open the day before. Either way, it seemed like a good time to make the homemade dishwasher detergent. We have been using it all week now, and it seems to be working well.
I'm grateful for...
...plans coming together, opportunities this week, and my family.

So what do you think about the homemade dishwasher detergent? I already make laundry detergent, and I've been tempted to do dishwasher too.
ReplyDeleteIt is working, and my husband hasn't complained. ;) For now, I'm planning to stick with it.
