This hardcover book by Merilee and Bill Clifton includes a guide, seven water/sea creature based devotions, suggested related Scripture memory verses, and that is just the first 28 pages! Though these books are great additions to actual zoo and aquarium trips, they can also be used as the cover is stamped "a field trip in a book." The closest aquarium is about two hours from here, and we do have it on our list of things we would like to do with family friends again. However, even without live animals and sea creatures within our grasp this is a fun, fact-filled resource.
The next 120 pages shares vividly colored pictures and in-depth lessons about birds, fish, invertebrates, mammals, and reptiles all from a beautiful creation based perspective. The "After the Aquarium" section includes games and crafts such as a sea creature mobile. The aquarium glossary in the appendix is a science lesson all by itself.
My eyes were drawn to the two page spread all about the Brown Pelican which happens to be our Louisiana state bird.

Soon after The Complete Zoo Adventure was published, I purchased a copy for my animal loving daughter. She took it on our most recent trip to the zoo.
She quickly noticed one difference in our older Zoo version and the new Aquarium Adventure book that we just received - the fold out pockets now securely seal closed with velcro! Now the field guides, sea creature fact cards, and new Bingo Ocean game cards don't fall out when the book is closed or even dropped! We all appreciate this kid friendly addition. Closed, the card holder looks like a treasure chest.

Like the Zoo book so to hear this one is even better makes me want it. I never tire of hearing of the wonders of creation. How anyone can deny the Creator is beyond me.
