The Periodic Table of Elements Coloring Book

When I teach my children in a way that is fun, I feel like they enjoy learning without the "hard" mindset about subjects that can easily be perceived difficult. I struggled with chemistry in college, so I look for tools to make that subject more understandable for my children. Teresa Bondora's Periodic Table of Elements Coloring Book fills that need.

Teresa Bondora actually recommends that we post a table of the elements on the wall in the same way that we display letters and math facts, so they become familiar from a young age. That was just one of the easy to implement ideas that I learned from this author.

The Periodic Table of Elements Coloring Book is now available for $25 on Amazon. This book is set up as a coloring book with large pictures for your child to color and then associate with each element.  The cover picture shows a good example of how each element is presented. 1-2 pages with large print describe each element in easily understandable terms. The coloring sheet includes a large image of the element's symbol, the complete name, and pictures of items associated with that element.

The 172 page book begins with a blank table in which the children can write each element as they are learned. It is written on an introductory level, but beneficial for all ages. Though my 8th grader is enjoying this as a complement to her current Biology curriculum, it is equally enjoyed by my 2nd and 6th grade children. I recommend this to any parent or teacher who wants to make chemistry more understandable and enjoyable.
