crockpot candy

My Aunt shared this delicious easy recipe last year. I've been gathering ingredients and planning to do this with the kids. I just found the recipe tonight, so I'll share it with you now and share pictures after we make it in the morning.

Crockpot Candy

35 oz. salted peanuts
1 1/2 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bar German sweet chocolate, divided in pieces
1 bag Heath English toffee bits
2 pkgs. (1 1/2 lb. each) of white almond bark, divided into blocks

Layer all ingredients in order listed in large crockpot. Cook on low for 3 hours. Do not open lid. Stir and drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper. Makes over 100 pieces. Let harden, peel off and store in containers. Note: The almond bark will not appear melted even after 3 hours. After stirring it will mix completely. I have also used some unsweetened German chocolate and chocolate almond bark.

Last year my Aunt cautioned me not to rush this by turning it on high as it will burn. You can add any other chocolate that you have. The recipe is very adaptable.
