the weekend away

It was an unplanned vacation. We learned we both had a long weekend off, so we arranged for Mamma and Daddy to care for all but the newest of our critters, and we enjoyed a quiet vacation.

The babies went with us.

They spent the cool nights inside but enjoyed the deck while it was warm.

The water was much higher than last time we were there.

The weather was beautiful at first. The kids hiked, played ball, and "built" forts.

The day we left it snowed!

It was a lovely time away.
