Favorite indulgence, now that sounds extravagant. One of my favorite treats is a pedicure. Actually going for one is a rare treat, but my girls and I enjoy mani/pedi times at home together. I've discovered that coconut oil works wonders on dry skin, and we heat it just a bit and soak our nails in it.
I discovered my favorite nail polish color on the other side of the world. On a mission trip, a friend had a lovely shade on her nails that seemed to change color and complement everything she wore. With orange shades it had hints of orange, with reds it looked deeper. Her story though was what made me remember it. The shade is called Change The World
, and she shared that her daughter gave it to her before a mission trip and she used it each time before she went on another one. It was one of those things I mentioned to my daughter. She found that exact shade online and surprised me with it that next Christmas. It has lasted though both my daughter and I use it a lot. She even paints my toenails for me.
Another nail trick I learned online is how this simple polish can help heal weak nails. Occasionally my fingernails break, especially when I'm peeling layers of paper off of acrylic ornaments and shapes and forget to grab the proper tools. A coat of this polish
strengthens the nail while it grows.
