Last weekend we visited the Mississippi coast for our great-niece's birthday and had to make a stop by the beach to stick our toes in the sand. We added to the footprints that were there already, and it reminded me of the poem Footprints in the Sand that I loved as a child. "It was then that I carried you." Right before we left home I had read the post shared by Elizabeth at just following Jesus and some of the verses that she shared seemed to have the same underlying theme as the poem. I am so thankful for the surety that God will never leave me. She also shared a passage from Isaiah 46:3-4 which says that He carries us!

ReplyDeleteThanks Kym. Yes, always!
DeleteThank you so much for mentioning me. I love God's Word so much and the encouragement it is to us!
ReplyDeleteThe verses that you shared were the last ones I read before we visited the coast, and they came back to mind while walking on the sand. Thank you for sharing the encouragement.
DeleteLoving post - by both of you :) Truly! Have a blessed Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove the photo! It's so wonderful that we can rely on God to never leave us! Blessings to you, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteThe picture made the footprints almost look raised instead of pressed into the sand, and my kids liked that illusion. I thought it illustrated the verse that way. Blessings to you, too.
DeletePraise God that He will never leave us nor forsake us! Thanks for hosting & God bless!
