I missed a few months of these First Day posts, but today, another glimpse:
As a consultant we are given a sneak peek the night before new styles of flexi clips are revealed. I got to share this beauty with my customers this morning and my girls and I are looking forward to seeing them for real when our order arrives. http://www.lillarose.biz/prettyhair
This sight greeted me outside the kitchen window. The silly duck hangs out on our porch right beside the dogs and cats. I wish I could avoid his unpleasant presents.
What do you call this?
From another room, Emily asked where did these sillies come from? It took me a few minutes to realize she was talking about the funnies.
My birthday flowers are still gorgeous and our dining room table is finally completely cleared off. Organization is happening here!

A box arrived with a few fun things to review.
Emily won an Amazon gift certificate from the library summer reading program. Of the endless possibilities she could have chosen, her decision: make up.
Heather assisted with dinner prep.

Wow, my kids watched the same movie last night. My step mom brought it over for them to see. What a funny coincidence.
ReplyDeleteI caved and placed a LR order yesterday. :)
That is a fun coincidence, Shecki.
DeleteI hope you enjoy your flexi-clips!
Looks like it was a fun day. The new LR clip is gorgeous and so are your birthday flowers. 8-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kym
DeleteThat is my favorite flexi. I can't believe how long those flowers lasted.
Your house and its surroundings look exactly like what my husband and I are planning. What a lovely way to document your every day.
ReplyDeleteMelisa, we are very blessed to be able to live on my Powpow's farm. Enjoy planning! These first day posts are fun to do and to look back on.
DeleteWe are reading Mr. Poppers Penguins right now! Can't wait to watch the movie with the kids. I love your house. It looks so cozy!
ReplyDeleteCozy is a good description.
DeleteI wish we had read the book first. My kids are less interested in books after seeing the movie, and I get that backwards too often.
