Shopping with my Girls and a Quick Chicken Dinner

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

This quick and easy chicken salad with Tyson Chicken Fries is what we enjoyed for dinner day after a great day shopping.

My two teenage daughters have been helping me start to organize our house. Wednesday we took a much needed break and enjoyed shopping together. Our first stop was to the back of the Goodwill store with enough donations to fill up the back of our van. I was surprised to learn that they would not accept toy donations, so we actually only left one box of books there.

We planned lunch in our favorite historic shopping district. (Yes if you're following the timeline of this day very closely, that does mean that we slept in late.) The farmers market is a little different on Wednesday with more unique lunch options than we had seen when we went before on a Saturday. We made our selections and then all enjoyed a refreshing watermelon lemonade.

Just around the corner, we found a thrift store that did accept toy donations! Now, satisfied and full, with an empty van, the shopping could begin!

We had a fun day shopping together and even found another container to help our organizing efforts. Our last stop before heading home was Sam's Club. In addition to food for our camping trip, I purchased  a few Easy to prepare meals for my Powpow. We got enough Tyson Chicken Fries for us to try at home, take with us camping, and share.

After emptying the ice chest for Powpow at his house, my 14 year old daughter helped me prepare our quick dinner while her big sister practiced shooting her rifle. She washed the veggie mix and grabbed a few tomatoes from our garden while I heated the Tyson Chicken Fries in the oven. The sweet slaw dressing in the veggie bag was a perfect complement to the crispy chicken and would even make a delicious dipping sauce. This salad turned out so good, I would compare it to any I've had from a restaurant this year. And it all came together so fast.

My oldest daughter has been practicing for 4H competition. Salad isn't her top choice, so I took a plate of Tyson chicken fries and sweet potato fries outside to her while she practiced the last night before we left. These were such easy summer meal solutions for my busy kids.

The state shooting sports competition this weekend is several hours away from the home, so we are taking the camper. Shopping included meals that will be easy to prepare while camping.

My daughter agreed that this was the perfect time to try the salad in a jar that I have been seeing on Pinterest. Paired with the Tyson Chicken Fries, we now have several healthy options for Quick Chicken Dinners that are almost completely pre-made!
