My husband worked late last night, but at the end of the evening he brought us home Oreos to share in celebration of Oreo's 100th birthday.
I remembered this pinned picture which led me to this science website. I even found a downloadable lesson plan here.
With all of those resources, we were prepared for our Oreo moon activity tonight.
...and then, we all enjoyed eating our Oreo moons with milk.

Too fun!!! Sorry I missed out on this for Oreo's birthday, but since I plan on studying astronomy with the kids next school year, I am putting this in the lesson plan. I don't think I'll hear any objections. ;-)
