My favorite homemade brownie recipe is from the Pots Pans and Pioneers cookbook.
I have layered the dry ingredients (doubled) in jars as gifts with instructions on what to add. We add chocolate chips to those.
Cocoa Brownies
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanillla
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Sift flour, sugar, salt, and cocoa. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed or 300 strokes by hand. Stir in nuts just until evenly distributed. Pour batter into greased 8x8x2-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20-22 minutes or until barely done.
We melt the butter (or sometimes coconut oil) in the pan they will be baked in to keep them from sticking.
This recipe sounds good, and I do luv brownies!!
