Scripture and A Snapshot

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

     We have had revival this week at our church, and I am filled with hope. The text focus was Ephesians, and the sermons were all about how Christians, unified in Christ's love, can share hope with the world. One night when we walked out of the church, this beautiful double rainbow filled the sky. The brightest one almost looked like two complete rainbows under another one. Every time I see rainbows, I'm reminded how God keeps His promises. Do you know that hope?

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.

When Darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, his covenant, his blood
supports me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.

  1. We need the Lord as the world needs Him ... May His presence be in and around us, may the world thirst His peace and love and holiness.
    Such a lovely week in your church - we need revival!
