Scripture and a Snapshot

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

On Christmas morning, our kids all climbed in our bed and we read the different accounts of the birth of Jesus together from the gospels before opening gifts together around our tree. Such amazing events unfolded just as prophesied that changed our world.

It's been a quiet week here as one then another in our family is sick. Sick time is never how we would choose to spend our time together, but we are making the best of it and watching movies between me serving them gatorade, jello, and chicken broth.

Thank you for joining Scripture & A Snapshot. Leave a comment with a verse that God has placed on your heart this week, or leave a link to your own post sharing a Scripture and a snapshot. Take time to visit  some of the other links, too.

  3. I left the house to go to the dentist on Thursday. By last evening, it was clear that I was coming down with a cold. That's it! I'm never leaving the house again! Oh well. Life is good - even if this is a cruddy way to begin the new year! At least I only have myself to nurse. Praying that I don't pass this along to my hubby. Hope your family is well soon. I love how your kids all crawled into bed with you on Christmas morning to read Scripture. So precious!

  4. What a wonderful sounding Christmas morning. I slept most of the day as I had been sick up to Christmas. Hope all are well with your family soon and having a nice New Year so far.
