Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9
My son asked for rainbow jello. We all got to have our favorite foods at our family Thanksgiving dinner. My mom's dressing (look what she did!), green bean casserole, deviled eggs, turkey cooked just right by my husband, we shared a feast! We also shared with each other some of the things we are thankful for. Every time I see a rainbow I'm reminded that my God keeps his promises.

As much as I love rainbows, I don't think I care much for rainbow Jello. It does make a pretty bowl on the table though.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few things I don't care for that my family enjoys. Fast meals from a box, for example, are one. But I am happy they like it. I like jello in almost any flavor.
DeleteRainbow jello! I didn't know there was such a thing!
ReplyDeleteRed, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple boxes prepared one at a time and layered make a rainbow.
DeleteSounds like a yummy Thanksgiving meal and your mom's dressing a hit with all. I usually have some left so she must make it special. Thanks for hosting and Blessings. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, too. Yes, delicious!
DeleteHow fun to have everyone's favorite foods at Thanksgiving! I'd be all for deviled eggs myself - that's one of my favorite dishes. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter makes those for us. They are a family favorite.
DeleteHow fun for your son! It's not Thanksgiving or Christmas around here without homemade buttermilk rolls - a recipe my mom found in a farming magazine when I was a little girl. They make the best dinner rolls and leftover turkey sandwiches ever! I'll try to find time to share the recipe on my blog (Cut Off in the Keweenaw) before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteFamily recipes are such special traditions. I'll be watching for yours; maybe my son will try making them, too.
