When Calls the Heart ~ Episode Six

        A review of the Hallmark Channel series When Calls The Heart

       Did you watch the original movie of WHEN CALLS THE HEART? The cake auction in this episode reminded me of it. The whole town celebrated with "The Miner's Games" including an egg toss, three legged race, tug of war, and yes a cake auction. Remember, Elizabeth is not a good cook, so bids for her entry are obviously not for the cake.

     Elizabeth pens in her journal "Trust brings us love." Both are put to the test and perceptions are not always correct.  A premie birth is part of this episode, and the company doctor isn't present. The challenges of "country life" continue, as does the cooperation of the mining town ladies while facing their challenges.
