Made in Heaven

Our pastor shared verses from the book of Matthew about the birth of Jesus, then he followed with an unexpected nursery rhyme. "Mary had a little lamb it's fleece was white as snow." He related that rhyme to the true account of Mary and the spotless lamb Jesus. Sometimes we can relate simple things to the Bible in unexpected ways. Sometimes man copies God's designs because the author and creator of all does have the best ideas, of course. The book Made in Heaven shares over and over about things man has created based on God's wondrous designs.

This book has been interesting for the whole family to read. Each page is filled with colorful pictures illustrating each of the imitations shared. Many are amazing. Did you know that the glow of a cat's eyes at night led to the reflective discs that guide us to stay on the road while driving at night? I first heard of self-healing plastic while scrapbooking. As you cut paper and the blade sliced into the cutting board beneath it, the technology used to create that "self-healing" design was inspired by human skin! 32 double-page spreads highlight different technological designs based on God's designs.

"Made in Heaven: Man’s Indiscriminate Stealing of God’s Amazing Design is authored by Ray Comfort and Jeffrey Seto. Ray is a best-selling author, tv co-host, and president of Living Waters ministry. Jeff is an aerospace engineer. They collaborated to make this project scientifically sound, while pointing people to the amazing Creator. Within the pages of this book you’ll explore 32 examples from nature that man has used in modern-day innovation."
“I hope you hear what this book says and are glad- because you look beyond the painting and see the Painter.”– Ray Comfort
Science shamelessly steals from God’s creation, yet refuses to give God the glory!
  • How the glow of a cat’s eyes innovates road reflectors
  • The naturally sticky inspirations for Velcro and barbed wire
  • A fly’s ear, the lizard’s foot, the moth’s eye, and other natural examples are inspiring improvements and new technologies in our lives
Engineers and inventors have long examined God’s creation to understand and copy complex, proven mechanics of design in the science known as biomimicry. Much of this inspiration is increasingly drawn from amazing aspects of nature, including insects to plants to man in search of wisdom and insight. We are surrounded daily by scientific advancements that have become everyday items, simply because man is copying from God’s incredible creation, without acknowledging the Creator.

  3. This looks like a neat resource. I always love reading the articles in Answers magazine that show how intentions work in comparison to similar things that occur in nature.
