The Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure

One of the most beautiful attractions that we have visited so far in Branson, MO was the

We stepped inside from the cold, up the winding staircase, through three sets of doors designed to keep the butterflies inside, then we were in a warm tropical rain forest environment complete with lush greenery and poinsettias for their holiday white flight holiday display.

Feeders like this one were nestled in the flowers throughout the exhibit. They were filled with nectar and pieces of fruit.

     The tropical flowers were gorgeous.

The white butterflies were easily spotted when on the poinsettias.

My husband's mom kept asking the living statue questions like "Do you have Jesus in your heart" and watched her responses with movements but not words. Butterflies landed on the angel as if she were really a statue.

Facts about butterflies were displayed throughout the rain forest room.

Several times every day newly hatched butterflies are released.

This one landed on Emily as soon as it flew for the very first time!

One stayed on Joseph's hand as he walked around, and complete strangers requested to take his picture.

The beautifully hued birds were an unexpected surprise. Joesph learned from one of the guides that they were honeycreepers.

The large room with the butterflies is amazing, but it is just part of the attraction. We watched a 45 minute documentary about monarch migration.
We all had fun navigating the "Emerald Forest" mirror maze. Joseph led us to the end, and I appreciated having someone to follow through the tricky path.

This "Great Banyan Tree Adventure" included a bungee cord jungle.

Joseph held a flower in the "pond" after jumping to create lily pads.

Crafts and fun lessons such as how to make your own butterfly nectar are shared on their website
