31.12.11

the end

2011 is ending tonight. This year has been full and fast and at times overwhelming. I'm looking forward to a fresh start.
It doesn't feel like winter here. Though we had a few freezing days and nights over the past month, we are back to open windows and shorts weather. Yesterday we found this first flower on the Camelia bush that Powpow transplanted for me and a promise of more to come:
Blessings to all of you as we begin a new year with so much more to come...Happy New Year!
Jennifer

  1. Love the bud. We had snow two days after Christmas but we are back to 'green'- green lawns and fuzzy trees. It is supposed to snow again tomorrow. Quite unusual weather here the locals tell me. (Cleveland, OH, area)
    Here's to the New Year!

  4. Happy New Year, To you and your family!

Oh, how I would love to be in shorts! I was so sad to leave Florida last week! What a perfect picture for the new year. A new beginning - a fragile bud waiting to break open and be beautiful.

  7. Happy New Year! I'm also looking forward to a fresh start....2011 was not the best year, but I know we grew a lot from it!! We don't have snow either, this has been the dryest month in recorded history here (Utah)!

  9. Oooh, warm weather . . . It's 23 degrees in Michigan today. We haven't had any snow, other than a few dustings. I guess I can't complain!

  10. We've been blessed with temps up to 60. That's fine with me, I'm ready for winter to be done right after Christmas, but the sledding crowd in our family is unhappy.
