Scripture and a Snapshot

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

Less than two weeks ago, we were preparing for hurricane Gordan. This week, friends in North Carolina have been evacuating from the threat of an even stronger hurricane hitting the east coast. When my daughter was driving a few days ago, she directed us all to look at the clouds. They were beautiful, declaring God’s glory.

Thank you for joining Scripture & A Snapshot. Leave a comment with a verse that God has placed on your heart this week, or leave a link to your own post sharing a Scripture and a snapshot. Take time to visit some of the other links, too, and be sure to visit Kym who is cohosting now and will be hosting Scripture and a Snapshot beginning in October.

  1. I've also been getting a lot of cloud photos lately. It's good to keep looking up! We've been praying for those affected by the storms.

  2. My son-in-law is from South Carolina and for a season my daughter and their family lived there. It's somehow easier to pray with real compassion when you've actually been to and seen a place and met the people. Thank God, He doesn't depend on my compassion or feelings to hear and answer my prayers, though!

  3. Such a wonderful way to look at it...so hard to sometimes find God in the middle of disaster but He is always present.
