For a quick healthy snack, especially on a hot day, nothing beats a smoothie. Search my blog and you'll find a few of our favorite recipes, but I'll share what we do most often right here.
First, frozen fruit is the key ingredient to a fabulous smoothie. In our Ninja, I combine frozen fruit, yogurt, and juice. For a creamier smoothie, I'll add a banana. To stretch it further when more people want to eat it, I'll add crushed ice. Rarely do I add sweetener or other ingredients beyond those basics. Blend and pour into glasses. Enjoy!
