Scripture and a Snapshot

Late tonight I realized that I didn't have a picture to share with you this week. The girls have been sewing a lot lately, and most of my recent pictures are either of our laser projects or their sewing projects. They both finished sewing skirts this week, but these pictures are from almost exactly a month ago. We meet with a dear group of ladies monthly to learn hand sewing techniques, our modern day designated "time for sewing." I love Ecclestiastes,  most of all the ending truth: "Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." Ecclestiastes 3:7 better fits these pictures, though. And I've been relearning the difficule lesson this week of "a time to be silent."
"...a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,"

  1. I love seeing all your photos. Are they learning to smock? I love the idea of learning to hand sew, it's a lost art for sure.
Love that Scripture too. There's a time for everything as I'm learning these days. Hope you have a lovely Lord's Day!

  2. Sewing together sounds lovely! It's a very good skill to learn, I'm so happy having my mom teach me to sew - and for the sewing class at school. Blessings to you & yours, Jennifer!
