Friendship

With two teenage daughters, I've been reminded of my friendships when I was their age. Friendships that have been the most consistent for me have been those with a depth from both having a relationship with Jesus Christ that provides perspective. One such friend taught me instead of simply saying "I'll pray for you" to actually pray with her (and others too) when asked, right at that moment. This summer I've shared heartache and joy and many prayers with friends. For them, I do thank God. Friendship is a blessing.
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Last month was an interesting blog change as I cohosted with my friend Lynn for her July blogging challenge. During August she is offering a new weekly challenge called digging into God's Word. The first prompt is friendship.
