In The Garden ~ July Blogging Challenge Day 22

This spring was wet, wet, wet which severely stalled our garden plans. Yesterday I shared some of our current fruit pictures. So far this summer we have harvested mulberries, wild blackberries, blueberries, figs, and pears. A friend offered some of their plethora of corn, and the whole family got into putting it up. We picked it, shucked it, Daddy blanched it all, then we carried it inside and with my mom cleaned off remaining silk, cut it and bagged it up. Some ears were left whole. Daddy estimated we put up 250 ears of corn! We are all enjoying eating it and will continue to through the winter.

    1. Thanks K! The old saying is true about many hands. It was hard work, but so rewarding. It was also enjoyable just visiting with the family as we worked together.
