The Virtual Refrigerator

Rainbows have been our theme this month. Today I have art (crochet) that isn't quite a rainbow and an acrylic rainbow that isn't art unless we really stretch, but both are more than I was able to share last week.

Isn't this adorable? My daughter found this sweet pattern and crocheted the top part tonight. The bottom isn't sewn yet, she is holding it together to show me how it will look once it is complete.

In the laser shop I've been spending a lot of time with some transparent acrylic sheets working on some manipulative prototypes for a friend with a light table. This rainbow is on my iPad which is the closest thing I could find to a light table for the picture.

“I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud: and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh: the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
—Genesis 9:13–16
