Scripture and a Snapshot

These delicate flowers show up every year under the arbor in our yard. Once I see the first one I look for them everyday. There beauty is there, then oh so quickly it dies. They are another reminder that this world is not my home. Life changes so fast. My hope is in the Lord-- unchanging, omnipotent, ever present, all seeing, eternal, never failing.

The grass withers,
the flower fades,
but the Word of our God
will stand forever.
Isaiah 40:8

  1. I'm so thankful that God's Word remains forever. Man may argue with it, try to change it, twist its meaning, even try to destroy it, but it is a sure and steadfast foundation to those who believe it and heed what it says.
