Scripture and a Snapshot

Frog and leaf sounds filled the air before I opened the front porch door one early morning this week. The cat's meows are louder than the sounds of the pre-storm wind and the branches falling on the roof. He walked across the porch rail and scratched his own back on the bottom of the chimes. Sounds of home, of our inheritance, surround me. We just returned home and are still rediscovering our normal. My husband rushed through breakfast and to work, today I'm alone on the porch swing, except for the animals. The kids are still sleeping. Kym shared this verse about a year ago, and it spoke to my heart. It still does. My grandparents are both gone now, and some of these boundary lines around us are now our own. I'd rather have a Granny and Powpow back, but the inheritance from them indeed does bring much delight.

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:6

  3. I love that verse! How fitting it is for your family, living with the inheritance of land and the legacy your grandparents left behind. :-)

since you mentioned my previous post with this verse, I had to go find it and link it up again. It's at: http://kympossibleblog.blogspot.com/2014/05/scripture-and-snapshot-may-18-2014.html
