While uplifting, it isn't a faith based film. Instead the characters share their views about God such as "I hope you're right about Him." "Me, too." But the actors did portray praying at times.
My older daughter recently read a different story about an adopted foster child and shared that combined with this DVD she now has a better understanding of that system.
There is occasional questionable language and implied violence. Camp is based on true stories and an actual camp for foster children. After the movie ends, testimonials are shared by past counselors. My son's opinion after watching was "I want to go there."

Roebuck received inspiration for the film when he joined a summer missions trip and had the opportunity to help abused and neglected children through a program called Royal Family Camp. Once there, he felt the call to help the children he met that so desperately needed contact with loving and caring adults. A portion of the proceeds from the film benefit Royal Family KIDS, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit that serves as the nation’s leading network of camps for abused, neglected and abandoned children.
