It has become a joke now with my girls, as I drive. My oldest daughter sitting beside me will giggle "Do you see the pretty purple flowers, Mommy? That was how it started. A simple comment about purple flowers opened my eyes to just how differently I view things in so many ways.
The lenses I was looking through are a pair of sunglasses I've had over 25 years now, more than half my life how I've viewed those flowers on the edge of the road.
"We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!" I Cor 13:12 from The Message
But even with that unclear vision, verse 13 continues:
"But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love."

I so agree with your post. As I am reading more and more of Gods word, I am noticing more and more of his beauty. Even things that before I didnt think were so pretty.

I have read and am re-reading a book. 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp... she talks of Perspective and how we need to look at life Through God's word... oh how hard to remember to ALWAYS look at each day through HIS word...life would bring so much joy if I could remember this...thanks for reminding me about this!
