A Mile in His Shoes Movie

A Mile in His Shoes is an inspirational movie about a coach who sees ability more than diagnosis and helps his team do the same. At first it seemed almost too good to be true, as in this could never happen in real life. A villain was introduced though, hidden among the friends. This is a good movie for discussion about strengths, differences, acceptance, and sportsmanship.

This was our family night movie Saturday and our whole family enjoyed watching it. My oldest daughter discussed it with me and shared that she liked that the main character kept trying. Joseph enjoyed the pig, which had an interesting role in inspiring the main character. Emily liked the coach's encouragement.

About Mile in His Shoes:

From the director of "Angels In the Outfield" comes an inspiring story about a special boy with an amazing gift, and the coach who believed. Dean Cain and Luke Schroder star in the gmc movie based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler".

  1. The preview of this movie makes me think of Adam Sandler's "Waterboy" but with more of the heart of Cuba Gooding, Jr.'s "Radio." Whether or not I win this (and I hope that I do...hehe), I look forward to watching this movie at some point!

  4. This looks like a good movie the whole family could enjoy. I love having movie choices like that for our family especially since we don't have much T.V. reception and what we do get we don't watch. We only have an antenna, no Cable or Satellite connection.

  8. What interests me in this movie is it is a family friendly movie. I also think it is neat that the parents let the boy do something that they weren't sure he could.

  12. I just love baseball movies... and movies that let me talk to my kids after they've been able to watch the whole thing with no "cover your eyes" or hitting the fast forward button...
