an attitude of gratitude

This change to a mindset of thankfulness, as encouraged to do by Ann Voskamp who shared how we are encouraged to do so throughout Scripture is in itself a blessing. For over a year now I've been counting my blessings. the ones I've kept track up of to #1527.
I'm thankful to see things from a different perspective, to be able to stop and think about what is truly important instead of focusing on the negative. I'm thankful for the gift of thanksgiving. For the month, I'll be joining with memes about thanksgiving.
I am thankful today for friends who played and learned with our family, and for pie crusts that my daughter made for our homemade pumpkin pies.
I'm thankful for the gift of laughter, and for many laughs with friends.
I'm thankful for my husband taking the time to pick up a surprise for my grandparents.
I am thankful for God sending perfect weather this afternoon so I could open the windows and the kids could enjoy playing outside.

I'm dropping by from the "30 Days of Thankfulness" challenge. =)

I really enjoyed reading your post! We have so much to be thankful for, not just at Thanksgiving but all through the year. I <3 that you have been counting all of your blessings! I think that I may start a blessings journal and do the same.

    Have a blessed day!

  2. It amazes me how a person's perspective can change when they chose t focus on the positive and not the negative. Through the most horrible times in my life there always has been something to be thankful for. I love the idea of keeping a blessings journal!
