The Homeschool Mother's Journal

The Homeschool Mother's Journal
In my life this week...

I worked a bit more than I have in the past few months, so juggling our schedule has been challenging.

In our homeschool this week...

I have been thankful for the parts of lessons that my children can do independently.

Places we're going & people we're seeing...

We all enjoyed watching the African Children’s Choir Wednesday night. These children, all aged 6 to 11, were amazing. I loved seeing Joseph’s smile grow even bigger when they started singing the song that he has been learning on the piano: He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands. When we got home Heather found Uganda (where all of the children in this tour were from) on the map and showed Joseph.

My favorite thing this week was...

Other than what I just mentioned, being able to spend time outside has been wonderful. The girls planted more flower seeds, too.

What's working/not working for us...

Science is working. Joseph found an experiment in one of his books that he wanted to do, and he was able to see it work! (Growing leaves on veggie scraps.) VHG has also been a huge blessing this year for Heather’s General Science class.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

I’ve been thinking a lot about my children’s futures.

A photo to share...

...will be added when I find the camera.

  3. My girls are enjoying the science in gardening, too. I love that homeschool gives them the chance to enjoy it because they didn't when in public school.

  5. Thanks for stopping by from UBP! I'm following you now, too.

I was on the TOS Crew for their first year. It's a small (homeschooling) world on the web, huh? ;0)
