The Homeschool Mother's Journal

The Homeschool Mother's Journal
In my life this week...

One more week has passed so quickly. In my life this week I have been reminded repeatedly of how rapidly our children are growing. My son didn’t need a booster seat at his last haircut. I didn’t cry, but I did ponder a lot. This week my husband and I celebrated (all week, and we still are celebrating) our anniversary. Our internet was out a bit after a storm, and I was reminded how much time we all spend online.

In our homeschool this week...

We started the week with a field trip, followed by a local holiday spent with family on Tuesday. We crammed a lot of school work into the days that we were actually at home.

Places we're going & people we're seeing...

Saturday my oldest daughter and I visited with dear family friends. Monday we enjoyed a lovely trip to see a ballet with friends followed by an unplanned tour of a radio station.

My favorite thing this week was...

This has been a good week. My favorite things would be two: the ballet and visiting friends.

What's working/not working for us...

I was reminded how much we can accomplish quickly when everyone is attentive. Art was neglected this week.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

I want the children to be aware of world events and ultimately see God’s hand in things that happen, even though sometime that is hard to see at first.

A photo to share...

Mr. Bob held all of our attention as he shared about modern radio technology.
