memory verses

It is time for the second set of verses at the LPM blog. Just in case this is new to you, here is the link:Siesta Scripture Memory Instructions. Our current verses are:

Joseph (no, not doing the Siesta challenge, but he is memorizing his assigned verses with his schoolwork as well as still determined to memorize Colossians with me.)

A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. Proverbs 29:11

Emily picked her verse from some listed in the Truth and Grace memory book we just received from paperbackswap:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

     Heather:

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 NIV

and my verses: (I've read these verses a lot and heard them quoted.)

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:4-7 ESV
